| Description: A lovely persimmon glazed bowl was molded in beautiful oval shape. In perfect condition except one minor before-firing chip at the well shaped foot ring, the bowl was evenly applied with brown glaze inside and out of the bowl including the center of the foot ring. By the characteristic silver-like sheen on the glaze, the steep circular wall of the foot ring and the revealed light gray tint of the body clay at the bottom of the foot ring, the date of Song or Jin period and the producing Yaozhou kiln which the bowl was originated can be fully justified. Width: 9.1cm. IT IS A RARE CHANCE TO FIND A YAOZHOU PERSIMMON WARE WITH SUCH OBVIOUS CHARACTERISTICS. | |||||||||
