| Description: A Huanghuli wood scholar tray was beautifully rendered. By excellent craftsmanship, the tray was unusually made by being carved from one solid block of wood, and unlike the tenoned pieces we’ve often seen. In an elegant and curved shape, the tray was meticulously done and finished to the shallow wall and the flat basin. Preserved in a brownish and charming patina, the tray was used to serve the curiosities to the connoisseur in the studio. Date: Qing Dynasty (19th century) Dimensions: 32.9cm x 21.8cm Condition: Perfect. | ||||||||
