A Charming Jizou Bowl of S. Song Dynasty
Description:
A lovely Jizhou bowl was applied with rarely-seen agate-like glaze.
By the dark chocolate-brown glaze underneath, strings of bead-like mottles were decorated in the cavetto.
On the outer surface, whitish brown effects were randomly yielded.
For authentication:.

1,The body clay was in a characteristic loosening type by the also characteristic pale buff tint.

2, The flat foot ring was preserved in old-feel quality and bore the manually maneuvered molding scars.

3, The finely spread crackles and minute pinpoint incursion were obviously and naturally revealed under 20 x magnify glass.

4, The retrospective foggy reflection caused by incursions and the burial adhesives on the glaze was convincing enough to believe that it was came from the ancient periods.

Date: Southern Song Dynasty, 1127-1279,

Provenance: Yonghe kiln, Jian, Jiangxi Province.
