A Fine Yaozhou Vase of Song Dynasty
Description:
A green-glazed Yaozhou vase was sharply carved on the surface with floral motif.
Mold in cylindrical body, slanted shoulder, short neck and everted mouth rim, the vase was stood by a well-shaped foot ring with straight wall.
For authentication:

1, Characteristic gray tinted body clay was revealed at the bottom of the foot ring.

2, Incursions caused by long time of burial had happened to the glaze and resulted minute bursting bubbles along the ridges of the raised motifs where the applying glaze was thinner.

3, Light grayish incursion happened to bottom within the foot ring.

Another convincing characteristic was the minute bubbles floating under the glaze and were squeezing together amid the crackles.

It was a beautiful piece preserved in a perfect condition.
Though not in great size, it still owned a decent look.

Date: Northern Song to Jin periods, 11th-12th Century.

Height: 14.3cm.

A CUSTOM-MADE SILK BOX IS INCLUDED.
