A Purple-Splashed Junyao Ewer-Pot of Yuan Dynasty
Description:
A Junyao ware in rarely seen ewer type was applied on the surface with beautiful bluish glaze.
On one side, a stroke of purple-splash was decorated when some whitish snow-flake-like firing effects was yielded in a vibrant look.

Furthermore for authentication,

1, Several streaks of the characteristic earth-worm traces in circular form were observed around the top mouth rim.

2, In dots form, the burial adhesives which in harden fossil quality were adhered firmly to the glaze.
Under 20x magnify glass, they were crackled and were in coincident with the crack lines of the glaze.
In natural way, they verified the characteristic condition of what the long time of burial had done to a porcelaineous ware.

Other than these,

3, The abrasions and old condition of the body clay revealed at the foot rim spoke by itself of its old age with no doubt, when,

4, The reddish brown tint of the body clay was a convincing type for Jun wares from Yuan periods.

Date: Yuan Dynasty,13th/14th century.

Width: 15cm from spout to handle.
