This is decoration cloth used in Iwate for Edo period. This is dyed in indigo plant, black, Bengara- color. Hemp thread is spun by hand and this is thick. The back side is dyed into this with a natural indigo plant. This is cloth for ceremonies of the celebration. This has few stains, but there is not the damage. The state is complete. Size 542cmx 25cm (214 "x 9.8")

This is child's jyuban kimono from Edo period to the Meiji era. The part of a purple sleeve is katazome-silk at the Meiji era. A blue part is tsutsugaki in Edo period and shibori of the safflower. The collar and the lining are shibori-silk at the Meiji era. The part of the motif of the peony is Moss who puts after the Meiji era and substituted it. There is a repair mark. There are a little stain and damage. However, the state is overall good. I recommend it for your collection...
