This is an upper child kimono of the Shonai district (Yamagata). It features blue dyeing and beautiful Tutugaki The Yuzen process of the freehand drawing is beautiful, this is thick cotton spun by hand. And crane and tortoises of the freehand drawing run well too. Lining is cotton dyed with rouge made specially in Yamagata. There are four stains of approximately 1cm (figure 1). There are two places extremely thin stain (figure 2). And there is one place of old rectification (figure 3)...
This is a flag displayed in a house in the Edo era. The work of this time is not left very much. And, as for the picture only for Ise lobster, it is unusual a lucky work. This is shijira Noshime kimono of the samurais with luster dyed with an indigo plant of nature of the Edo era. This has two places of small holes and thin stain This Nosime features deep indigo dyeing with clean luster and Kasuri of transparent blue. In this way, Nosime of the indigo dyeing of Sijira with the luster is rare. This was made in Kyoto and was used in Akita. Size 141cm x 132cm (55.5‚ÄĚ x 51.9‚ÄĚ)
Boss of the craftsman of the Edo era wore this in a ceremony. This uses thick cotton spun by hand of the indigo dyeing. And this does delicate embroidery by silk thread. This has four places of raveling of a few thread and there is one place of tear of 1cm under the collar letter. However, the state is good. It is Indigo dye silk shibori Pattern of impressive and charming sparrow kimono textile of the Taisho era.As for the change of the color of a white part, the paste which I used for dyeing changed.It has a few thin stains. It became the good texture whenever I washed it and the texture such as old jeans appeared. The indigo dyeing protected a person from a poisonous insect once. It has a wound and a stain of the aging. It is woven with common hemp thread, indigo-silk thread dyed beautifully and a double cotton thread dyed black. It is a very rare textile made in Iwate. The dye of the silk thread is bright blue. However, you can feel that you leave it a little in green. It is Noragi thick beautifully made in the Showa era from the Taisho era. Size 94cm x 116cm (37 "x 45.6")
It is woven in hemp of dyed hemp normal and little KOZO. Some hemp is dyed black. I do not understand the dye . This is thick NORAGI used characteristically in Iwate. This was made in the Taisho era from last part of Meiji(1868-1912). Size 72cm x 127cm (28.3 "x 49.9")
It is farmclothes used in Iwate of the Meiji era(1868-1912). It does not have a stain and damage. It is very good condition. It is dyed with an indigo plant of nature It is used by Iwate prefecture .128cm x 131cm(50.3" x 51.5") It has slight unevenness in dyeing. And it does not stand out.
