This is tsutsugaki cotton textile kakejiku Hanging scroll of the Edo era(1800-1867).
This is a design of the Japanese old tale (Taro Urashima) and It was drawn by hand. In the outskirts of this Hanging scroll, the indigo dyeing cotton is very beautiful in katazome.
