This is Shi-fu(Paper) & cotton boro Tattered noragi Work wear Rare of the Meiji era(1868-1912).Although very rare, some work clothes such as noragi, are woven with a weft made from spun recycled paper thread which was and cotton.The warp is woven with hanada-iro(It is the light blue that luminosity is high in) and a thread of the cotton of the indigo dyeing. Did the conditions in those days influence people to combine the strength of cotton and the softness and warmth of spun paper thread for their work clothes. size:96cm x 127cm (37.7" x 49.9") tana40
