Edo Tsutsugaki Indigo Hand-spun Cotton Nobori This is Tsutsugaki cotton Nobori of Edo period. As for this, cotton is spun by hand. As for this, the cotton that the texture is very good of Edo period is used. The design is Shojyo. Shojyo is an animal in the imagination to be handed down from ancient times. This comes up in one of the representative programs of the Noh. In Japan, this has the meaning of the beast of the good luck. There is one place of small hole beside ladle. The bottom of a wave of this lower part is shading and is drawing a part of a rock and land. I think the color discolored a little, but I think it isn't a stain. There is a thin stain in other parts. Size 300cm x 33cm (118 “ x12.9 “)
