It is gosyo-katsugi(imperial palace katsugi) in the Edo age of this.This katsugi is a museum class. Please add to your collection. It is katsugi of Kyoto. This is a rare very valuable excellent article. Daimon in surroundings of the neck is tsutsugaki(frieehand paste-resist decoration). It is a dye of the indigo dye and the Indian ink. Katazome(paste-resist stencil decoration) of komon is made from dangawari. The katazome part near the chest uses the dye of thin yellow on. The material is Best fiber hemp(jofu). There is a thin stain. There is a little small hole. The part of the collar of the lining is and there is damage. However, the state is very wonderful. katsugi as was also a kimono-style garment katsugi were worn like a veil draped over the head to conceal the woman's face during excursions and traveling. The custom is generally traced to the haeian period (794-1185), when women wore a plain white kimono, with hirosode,over the head. Ahat with a long veil hanging from the brim was also used for the same purpose. Not only providing protection from the sun and rain, size:148cm x 120cm (58.3" x 47.2")
