Highly desireable pair, yet simple Japanese antique "tea garden" hanging iron lanterns in the form of swimming koi or carp undobutedly originally from a former Japanese tea garden. Unusual and rare form. they measure 14" length and 6" girth. They are particularly fine examples which we date to Taisho to Showa period 1920's-1940's. Pleasing and weathered, yet well cared for and well suited to a tea garden or small exterior location!
