A fine pair of French gilt bronze "angel" candleabra measuring a substantial 22" in height each, lovely qualty. From an old midwest collection formed by an American industrialist who once owned the Villa del Balbianello on Lake Como in Italy. The villa had been built in 1787 on the site of an early Franciscan monastery and had fallen into disrepair until restored in the early 1920's.
Pleasing to your eye, this example has been well cared for and is destined for the finest collection. Estate fresh, unusual opportunity.
