Beautiful old antique white glazed pottery urn or vase with a blue double headed eagle wearing a royal crown surmounted by a cross. In the center of the eagle is a medallion with a faded yellow figure of what may be a lion rampant. Condition is good with some minor pock marks and outgrowths along the rim. The bottom has the maker's mark V.D Height is 9" The rim is 4" in diameter. The base is 3" in diameter.
A plaster casting of a choir all chanting in the medieval style from a single book. An old label on the back says: "DaPRATO & Co Manufacturers of all kinds of STATUARY, Artistic and Classical subjects; also any kind of Architectural Work. 13-14 Waverly House, Charlestown District" Size is 10.75" x 7.25" x 1/2" Condition is good with a few small chips on the book and the hand holding it.
French transferware plate ca 1835 with a scene of men fighting with swords. Text in French: Louis D'Assas (Capne. au reg d'Auvergne) au moment ou il crie: a moi Auvergne. Ce soit les ennemis. Flat rimless bottom with the impressed Montereau mark. Lovely border of flowers and leaves. Diameter is 8.5" Condition is very good with a few hairlines above the men and to the left and below the word Louis.
Beautiful bright yellow glazed heavy pottery vase probably ca 1910. Height is 10" Diameter of mouth is 6.5" Condition is excellent with some small pocks in the glaze. There are no signatures or marks on the bottom.
Pair of French plates circa 1830 with images of two apostle evangelists, Saint John and Saint Matthew. Faience by Fouque and Avenour, on the back the letter A with a backwards R superimposed on it. Diameter of each plate is 8.75"
