| Gorgeous silk embroidered purse from France, late 1800s. This type of embroidery is called the forbidden stitch and the purse is in excellent condition. Lovely colors and nicely decorated frame. The lining is frayed and could be replaced. The purse is 5 3/4 inches long by 6 1/2 wide at the bottom and the chain adds 7 1/2 inches.
