| Lovely Victorian rose gold ring set with c.2 carat marquise shaped turquoise. Surrounded by an etched and engraved typically Victorian setting, there is a turquoise bead and 2 seed pearls adorning each point of the marquise setting. 12K gold was legalized in 1855 in England, along with 9K and 15K. In excellent condition, there is an engraved monogram inside the shank, H.N., so this was once a gift to someone special. There is also what appears to be a makers mark in a cartouche but I cannot make it out. Currently a size 5 3/4, this ring could be resized without marring the inner monogram. Simple but elegant ring. | |||||||
