Grete Prytz Kittelsen ‘Domino Ring for Tostrup

This lovely ring by the enamelist Grete Prytz Kittelsen was designed for the Tostrup firm in 1952 with whom her family had a long alliance. She won the Lunning prize the same year. This piece exemplifies her goal of producing less laborious pieces and is made of one piece of silver that was then bent, not soldered into place. Excellent condition, marked underneath "Sterling, J.Tostrup, Norway". The ring is a size 7 but the ends of the shank overlap so there is a little room to expand or decrease as needed. The only other example of this ring I could find online was in Europe at a considerably higher price.
