Dear reader, you should know I nearly went blind deciphering these marks even with a 20x loupe but mystery solved. First, this is a lovely and typically Scandinavian silver pendant comprised of 10 conjoined circles with long dangles suspended from the bottom row. The dimensions are 3 1/4 long (from top of bail to bottom of dangle) x just over one inch. The condition is great. The marks on the back are: makers mark for Kultateollisuus Ky, 830H (silver content), town mark for Turku, Finnish control mark and S7 for 1971. The firm was active in the 70s and made a line of pendant and bracelets all based on the circular form many of which were set in the centers with native Finnish stones. They are in business today but as producers of silver flatware. The pendant comes with a 30" sterling silver chain but is not original to the piece. |
