| An art deco Jakob Bengel necklace of chrome and galalith, a plastic often confused with bakelite. Galalith is mostly seen in German and French deco jewelry and according to Ginger Moro's "European Designer Jewelry" it was not used after 1935 as bakelite beads with their wider color choices became more popular. The necklace is 18" long and in wonderful condition. These pieces were not marked but a very similar piece is pictured in Art Deco Schmuck Jewelry Jakob Bengel on page 162. | |||||||
