| Victorian watchcock necklaces and bracelets were a short lived trend in the mid 1880s This jewelry was made of the escapement covers from late 18th century watches. Highly engraved and cutout in animal, flower, and circular swirl motifs and sometimes set with small stones, they made for very decorative jewelry. Despite their lack of intrinsic value, they are very collectible today due to their novelty and rarity. Despite it's humble materials, this necklace looks quite grand when worn. It is 16 1/2 inches long and in excellent condition. | |||||||
