| Studio pottery vase by Gerhard Liebenthron, a well known ceramic artist in Germany. Born in the 1920s, I believe he is still working today. The vase has a wonderful shape and size and is beautifully embellished. It has a hand incised mark on the base, GL, 84 (for 1984) and is in excellent condition. This type of primitive decor is typical of much of his work. If you search on Liebenthron and select "with archives", you can see three other pieces I recently sold of a similar design. His work is increasingly collectible. | ||||||
