| An exceptional miniature studio vase by Gerhard Liebenthron, a well known German ceramicist. This piece is signed and dated (GL, 88) and typical of his style, the glaze is a mottled blend of colors, in this instance blues and golds with an incised pattern covering part of the surface. In excellent condition, this is 2 3/4" tall and 9" in diameter. Liebenthron's work can be found in several museums in Germany including the Keramik Museum in Berlin, the Fockemuseum in Bremen and the Hetiens Museum in Dusseldorf. | ||||||||
