| This German pottery vase is from the Grootenburg Pottery started by Paul Dresler in 1913. The sgrafito technique and copper reduction glaze are commonly found on Grootenburg pottery. The vase is 8 1/2 inches tall. This piece reflects the more modern shapes that were being introduced in the 1950s; this particular piece was produced in 1956 (pictured in Makus' book, Keramik der 50er Jahre). The Grootenburg pottery closed in 1961. | ||||||||
