| Studio pottery vase by Horst Kerstan considered one of the major ceramic artists of the 20th century. Horst Kerstan. He studied with Richard Bampi in Kandern and then took over his studio when Bampi died in 1965. The glazes on this piece are fabulous and I've taken several photos to show you the enormous variety of colors and patterns on this small piece. It is in excellent condition, stands 5" tall and is signed and dated on the bottom. This is supposed to be one his rare vases with a porcelain like body. Kerstan said it was like working with chewing gum and soon stopped using it. | |||||||||
