| This huge crystalline ceramic vase by Mathies Schwarze is 19 inches tall. Hand thrown by this master potter, who trained in Germany with some of the most preeminent ceramic artists, he has been working since the 1960s and now has his own school as well. It is glazed in a variety of dark blues, ochres and browns. Mathies' work has appeared in numerous competitions and is in several museums and private collections worldwide.
