| This tall modern porcelain vase by Hungarian firm, Hollohaza is an unusual piece from this maker. It's elegant shape and striking matte color palette make for an attractive piece. The simple design is augmented by the thickness of the applied black and white lines. The vase is 14 1/4 inches tall and 10 1/2 inches in circumference at the base. Excellent condition. Hollohaza porcelain factory, in existence since 1831, is best known for its' colorful pottery and tableware. "The late 1970's and early 1980's are known at the factory as the Szász period. Painter and graphic artist Endre Szász (1926-2003) cooperated with the porcelain works to create a range of artistically outstanding porcelain artefacts including bowls, vases, ornamental plates and, unique in the trade, even porcelain violins."
