| Geza Gorka was a leading ceramic artist of the 20th century and considered a founder of Modern Hungarian ceramics. He was influenced by folk pottery, German expressionism and art deco styles and his work is similarly varied. This charming and beautifully decorated piece was probably made to be an ashtray though it doesn't appear to have been used that way. The palette and both the inner and outer glazes are fantastic. It's about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches tall. In excellent condition, the signature is difficult to read but pictured. | ||||||||
