| Beautifully executed tile by artist Pal Ferenc. The abstract harpist has what appears to be a serpent emerging from his or her neck. Great rich palette. This one is unsigned but attributed based on the style (see item #2067). There is a tiny chip on the top of the tile in the rear so not viewable when hanging. It measures 8 x 8 and could be hung or displayed on an easel stand. Pal Ferenc, born in 1914 trained as a painter in the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts but worked as a ceramic artist from 1962-1988. He did commissions for public spaces in Budapest and he exhibited in Hungary, Germany, France and elsewhere. | |||||||
