This is a special piece one of the first pieces Sulton Rogers carved. This is not typical of his later work at all. This is a stunning bird carving with so much detail. The wood has been carved and burnt, the etchings and markings reflect real detail in the wings and the birds feathers. Such a great piece to own. Real American pride in this piece. The Eagle is strong and the expression on this birds face is wise. Unlike the Owl he is ready to protect, soar the skies and serve. Featured in Outsider Art - Kathy Moses pg 104
