| This appealing late 1940s-1950s New Orleans watercolor depicts the Streetcar Named Desire, basis for the famous play by Tennessee Williams. It was painted by William Collins (American, b. 1910-), artist of the French Quarter, created a series of intimate watercolors of New Orleans and the Bayou Country. He was active between 1935 and 1960. He first sold his paintings himself in the French Quarter, then his work was displayed in various New Orleans galleries. Canvas size is 16 x 12 inches. | |||||||
