| Equine walking sticks were very popular with the Victorians, who loved to carry canes commemorating their favorite beast of burden. On this walking stick, which dates from around 1890, the ivory handle has been realistically fashioned into a horse's head and neck and measures 2-1/2 x 2-1/4 inches. A sterling silver collar (stamped Sterling) and swirling silver inlay on the partridge wood shaft make for a most unusual cane. The bi-metal tip is 1-1/2 inches. Overall length is 36-1/2 inches. | |||||||||
