| This fine-looking 19th-century walking stick sports a walrus ivory pistol grip handle realistically carved to depict an elk. The ivory portion measures 4-1/2 x 2 inches. Beneath the elk's head and neck is a shield. The animal's eyes are glass. The elk wears a thin (1/2 inch) etched silver collar over an ebonized hardwood shaft with horn tip.
