| During the late 1800s, a whole slew of gadget canes appeared on the American scene----walking sticks that contained items that weren't readily apparent. Horse racing and race tracks were great sport, and the racing tout could be fashionable and carry his cane, yet could pull off the cap to reveal a silver pencil to write memos on his racing form. This stick has a 4-1/2 inch long ivory handle with sterling collar and cap. The 13/16-inch round disc at the end of the handle removes to retrieve the repousse silver pencil. The collar is 1-3/4 inches. The shaft is stepped partridge with a bimetal tip. Overall length is 35-1/2 inches. Great for the handicapper or racing fan in your family. | |||||||||
