| This magnificent carved ivory compartment gadget cane dates from around 1910. The entire ivory knob handle measures 9-1/4 inches in length and 2 inches in diameter and is decorated with alternating panels of carved sea creatures, roses and Chinese characters. The handle also sports a fully carved rose. The top or stopper is 2-3/8 inches long. The dense stepped ebony shaft tapers from 1 inch below the handle to 3/4 inch, terminating in an inch-long ivory tip. The overall length of this true work of art is 37 inches. | ||||||||||||||
