Cork/Plexiglass Lamps Eames Era c. 1960s

This fabulous pair of circa 1960s plexiglass and cork lamps are straight from the Eames Era of modern design. Charles Eames and his second wife Ray were a husband-and-wife team that designed some of the most influential furniture of the twentieth century and influenced scores of other designers. These lamps come straight out of a Palm Beach estate and are really good examples of mid-century design. The lamps are 18-1/4 inches in height, 30 inches high including the harp, and sit on a base that is 5-5/8 inches square. The plexiglasss squares can be moved so they line up with the cork squares or can go in a different direction. Even (especially) today, they are way cool.
