A very rare pair of Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) bronze vases, mirror image, not identical. Rising from roots to a tree stump, prunus decoration, with a bird on a branch. Height 24.1cm (9.6 inches) Excellent condition.

A very rare museum quality Chinese Tang Dynasty Amphora with the handles in the form of dragons' necks and heads. Whilst these amphoras do come up at auction occasionally what makes this one unique is the beautiful brown glaze, the like of which I have not seen equalled. Henan Province likely Gonxian kiln.
