This vintage souvenir polychrome blue & white transferware plate is from The State of Arizona. Commemorating the Statehood achieved on February 14th, 1912. The 48th State in the Union. The center features The Grand Canyon with ten (10) vignettes around the edge that include; the Cactus Wren, Navajo Indians, Jerome (a historic copper mining community from the late 1800's), San Xavier Mission (built between 1783 and 1797) , Saguaro Cactus, Cotton, the State Capitol of Phoenix, Roosevelt Dam (completed 1911), Arizona Cattle & the Kaibab Squirrel. This polychrome transferware plate, made by Johnson Brothers Pottery, England, is all cobalt blue on white. Made expressly for Diamond's. No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Measures 10 3/4" in diameter and stands 1" high. EXCELLENT!!!
