Vintage, hard to find Jeannette #3475 Crystal Pheasant Candleholder. This candleholder was manufactured circa 1956 by Jeannette Glass Co. (Jeannette, PA), another great US art glass company who closed its doors, as part of their 3624/3/501 console set. It stands 2.5" high, 1.75" diameter at the receiver rim, 5" diameter at the base and is in excellent condition. It is produced from a crystal art glass (depression glass collector term for transparent uncolored glass) in a two-part mold process. It is embellished with a cattail design on each side and an applied, detailed crystal pheasant opposite the candle receiver. It has gold edging applied to the rim of the receiver and base (99.9% intact). This wonderful piece exemplifies the craftsmanship sought after in quality, vintage American mid-century art glass and it would be a welcome addition to any serious art glass collection or to grace any table.
