Vintage 20's rag doll is called a topsy turvy or a double ended doll. They were made where the skirt fell over the head and arms of the ends. Mainly found in the US. Each sides of the dress is a different calico print. Lace trim partially loose on the dress (can be tacked back into place easily). Each dress is fastened at the back with 2 small snaps and the white doll is wearing a sunbonnet. The faces are hand painted on the fabric. The wigs appear to be made of a synthetic material that closely resembles fine human hair.Red calico Dress is partially faded in areas. Measures 12" tall. Comes with a Valuation appraisal certificate from 2011 that estimated her $80-$120 for this exact doll we are selling here. Estimated age is from the 1920's. No rips or missing parts.
