From the early 1950's, these mesmerizing crystal rhinestone earrings are signed by Bogoff, a hard to find jewelry designer highly praised by collectors. Bogoff truly rivaled Weiss and Eisenberg in quality and attention to craftsmanship. As these earrings are signed Bogoff earrings without the copyright, that date to the early 1950s. Bogoffs early designs are the most desirable. Although they were only in business for about 2 decades, their early designs are far superior to their later jewelry in the 1960s. (This accounts for a wide price variation in Bogoff Jewelry). There is a big difference between high quality Austrian crystals used here, and later jewelry that was mostly rhinestones.) These wonderful classy earrings have dazzling crystals set in thickly polished silver rhodium. The crystals have remarkable sparkling light with the independent movement. 15 round chatons per earring. The earrings are 3/8" wide and just over 2" long. Both earrings have silver rhodium clips with no wear and tight snap, and both earrings are signed Bogoff. Pristine all original mint condition.
