A classic Mexican silver brooch reminiscent of one of William Spratling's earlier designs. This large brooch is marked Made in Mexico Sterling in raised letters on the back. Rollover clasp holds securely. The three amethyst flowers are in good condition with minor flea bites and a little roughness to some edges. Sterling has a warm patina. Pretty deep purple stones. Three dimensional flowerpot has a small bend to one of the arms. Measures 2 1/2" across and 2 1/2" tall. Pre 1948...

A sterling silver cuff bracelet and pair of pierced earrings in the style of Matilde Poulat,(Matl), accented with amethyst, turquoise and coral stones and beads. Signed with the Taxco artisan's registration number, which looks like TC -153, 925 for Sterling and Mexico. Cuff measures about 5 1/2" around with an opening of 1". Measures 1 1/2" at the widest. Pierced earrings measure about 2 1/2" long. Measure 1 1/8" at the widest. Very nice condition. Lots of detail and good weight.

According to The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks, this mark was used from 1943-48. Measure 1 1/4" long and 1" widest. Minor surface scratches and some tarnish. Nice warm patina.
