| A Fine Watercolor by the Early Texas Artist, Stella Elmendorf Tylor (1885-1980). Born in San Antonio, Tylor graduated from the College of Industrial Arts in Denton in 1910, after which she went on to New York and studied with Robert Henri. After traveling to Europe, she returned to Texas after teaching in Canada. She then took a degree in Architecture and Design at the University of Texas, Austin (1915). She taught in Wisconsin and Illinois, before finally returning to San Antonio. This watercolor measures about 8 1/2" by 11" matte opening, overall frame about 17" by 21".
