A vintage brass, copper, and onyx belt buckle with original black suede belt sold at Aladar Deutsch jewelry store, Nuevo Laredo. Buckle has layers of copper and brass with a carved onyx head in the center. Marked Mexico on the back. Measures almost 4" long and 2 3/8" wide. In good condition with some surface scratches, and tarnish. Onyx is in very nice condition. Suede belt with leather lining has a label from Aladar Deutsch, which was started by an Hungarian immigrant trying to get to the United States in 1929. Suede measures approximately 30" from end to end (you need to leave some suede to fold into the buckle) and 1 7/8" wide. Has some rubbed areas and some separation between the leather and suede. Leather has some staining. Hooks closed. A very unique item.
