Rare Adda Husted-Andersen Modernist Sterling Brooch
On Hold.

A rare modernist sterling silver brooch by the noted jewelry teacher and designer, Adda Husted-Andersen. Husted-Andersen taught in NYC at the Craft Student's League and her work was exhibited as part of the 1946 landmark exhibition, "Modern Jewelry Design" at the Museum of Modern Art. This brooch is made from two intertwined pieces of sterling silver in varying shades of vermeil. Measures about 3 1/8" long and 1 1/8" at the widest. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds tightly. Signed with her hallmark and sterling. In nice condition, a little wear to the finish. Great design by a very hard to find silversmith.
