The painting is titled "...thinking distant thoughts..." and dates from 1998. It is one of the many representations the artist has created of a specific Seattle viewpoint which has fascinated him for many years.

Beautiful Japanese studio vase, in the form of a Han Dynasty cocoon vase, in the Mingei style, mid 20th century. Very reminiscent of the work of Kawai Kanjiro. This vase is not signed, and it is missing its original box which would have made an attribution possible. 26cm by 19cm (roughly 9 3/4" by 7 1/2"). In beautiful condition.
