Antique N.W. Persian saddlebag, made into a pillow but complete with flat weave back. It dates from the first quarter of the 20th century, and is in excellent condition.
Antique Turkish runner, Konya area, probably Kurdish made, second half of the 19th Century. It features a series of four panel with alternating red and green grounds; extra end panels with mirhabs; and animal and human figures in each of the square panels. It probably dates from the 1870's. The dimensions are: 51" x 183". Natural dyes, very old repairs to the pile, good condition.

Original colour woodblock print by Bertha Boynton Lum (American/ 1879-1954). It is titled "Chufu, Birthplace of Confucius", dates from 1924, and is signed in pencil L.R. In frame, and not examined outside of frame.

Extremely rare Haviland double vase, circa 1870, with Barbizon style paintings on both sides, signed with artist's cipher under glaze and with paper label. The artist's monogram is for Emile-Justin Merlot (1839-1900), one of the artists sponsored by C.E. Haviland in his artist's studio to experiment with painting on ceramic. Merlot is known for landscapes and is listed in Benezit, and in other reference works. The vase is numbered and signed on the bottom...
Original watercolor (18" x 24") by Georges-Dominique Rouault (French/ born 1904). This work in its original gallery frame is signed L.R. Georges-D. Rouault has specialized in atmospheric watercolors of Paris on rainy days. He is very well listed (cf: Benezit, for instance).
Original oil on canvas (24" x 30") by David Day (Seattle-Dates unknown). Day was a student of Lorser Feitelson. The nude is from around 1949. It is in excellent condition.
Original lithograph (16" x 19") by Marcello Grassmann (Brazil, born 1925). It is signed and dated (1952) in pencil L.R. and numbered 5/6 L.L. Grassmann is a well listed member of the Brazilian school. His lithographs have been widely exhibited (Venice, Paris, Sao Paulo, etc. We currently have in stock a number of mid-century fine prints, mainly American, by artists such as Reynold Weidenaar, Manfred Schwartz, William Gropper, Jane Baldwin, etc.
Original intaglio print (25" x 18") by Berkley Warner Chappell (American-CA/ Born 1934). The print is signed L.R., dated (1964) and titled: "Come dance with me". Excellent condition, unframed and original. I also have a fascinating large engraving by this artist, entitled "Trilogy".
Original oil on canvas (30" x 36") by Robert Broderson (American/ 1920-1992). Broderson taught at Duke University and at NC State in Raleigh, and after the sixties retired from teaching to devote himself to painting. this painting probably dates from the fifties. It retains its original frame.
