| Original terracotta sculpture on a hard wood base, signed "G.R.Davis" and dated 1936 on the lower part of the neck. 10" tall, 15" including the base. G.R.Davis is listed in "Who Was Who in American Art" as a sculptor who exhibited with the Society of Independent Artists in 1935. We are attributing this work to him/her. We also notice that G.R.Davis could also stand for Gladys Rockmore Davis (1901-1967) although no mention was found of her working as a sculptor in any medium. | |
