| Rare vase by Pol Chambost (France, 1906-1983), circa 1950s. Egyptian blue glaze (crackeled). 16.5cm, 7cm wide. Incised mark that reads: "2072 Poterie Pol Chambost Modele Depose France". In excellent condition. Pol Chambost is an important figure in French ceramics and design of the mid-century period. Although trained as a sculptor he is mainly known for his work with art pottery. | |
