| Original mixed media on canvas by Ebrin Adingra (Ivory Coast, France, 1933-2005). This work is signed and dated upper right. It is also inscribed on the back of the canvas: "Le Reve Mystique--65--Ebrin Adingra--1 rue Durantin--Paris 18". 29" by 21 1/2" canvas alone, 33" by 25 1/2" in its frame. Ebrin Adingra was born a prince of Kinjabo (Ivory Coast). He studied art in Marseilles, France. Influenced by Cubism, he translated West African imagery in the idiom of contemporary art. Well-listed, represented in museums, and collected. | |
