Extremely rare pair of Louis Lourioux (France, 1874-1930) Art Deco Lamps, each decorated front and back with a kneeling nude under a blooming tree. Both signed with the mark of the faun playing the flute. Circa 1920. Original fittings. The total height of the lamps is 19". The ceramic base alone measures 11 1/2" in height and 8 1/2 " across. These pieces feature the wonderful color sense of Louis Lourioux, with vivid green, pale blue, and cream enamels over a chocolate ground. Probably designed by the well known sculptor Lemanceau who collaborated for many years with the ceramicist.
